OBRÉ is an evolving archive of photographs documenting architecture, landscapes, and everyday observations by Juan David Restrepo. The work is less concerned with individual images than with the accumulation of them over time, allowing recurring themes of light, material, atmosphere, and place to emerge naturally.
The name is derived from the Spanish word obra, meaning "work" or "body of work." It also combines fragments of our family names and the accent from our daughter Inés' name. Together, it reflects both the work itself and the people closest to it.
